FAQs

I’ve never done a sauna or ice bath before - is Si right for me?

Absolutely. Most of our guests were first-timers once, and Si is designed to feel welcoming from the moment you walk in. There’s no experience needed, no pressure to stay in longer than you want to, and no set structure to follow. You move at your own pace, full stop.

100%. Many of our regulars come solo and love it. Si is a naturally social space, conversation happens easily, but it’s just as good for quiet, uninterrupted time to yourself. Both are welcome here.

Not at all. The sauna alone is a wonderful experience. That said, most people who try the ice bath, even nervously, are really glad they did. Start at the warmer end (12°C is a great place to begin) and just see how you feel.

Arrive, get changed, have a quick shower, and then it’s yours. Move between the sauna and ice baths however feels right. A loose guide is 10–15 minutes in the sauna, 2–5 minutes in an ice bath, then rest, and repeat. But honestly, follow your body. It usually knows.

Before you get in, take a few slow, controlled breaths. Once you’re in, keep breathing steadily and calmly, don’t hold your breath. The urge to gasp is normal, but slow breathing is what helps your body settle into the cold. It gets easier every time.

Our saunas are genuinely spacious, each fits up to eight people comfortably, and sessions are kept to a relaxed capacity so it never feels rushed or cramped.

That’s completely okay. Our ice baths range from 12°C down to 2°C, so you can choose your level. Even a short dip at a milder temperature delivers real benefit. The goal is never to push through, it’s to find what feels good for you.

Please don’t push through it. If you feel dizzy, nauseous or uncomfortable at any point, get out, rest and let one of our team know. We’re here to help. Your safety always comes first.

Contrast therapy is safe for most healthy adults. We ask that anyone under 13 not use the space, and that anyone aged 13–17 be accompanied by an adult. We also ask that pregnant women avoid the saunas. If you have a heart condition, high blood pressure or any other health concern, please check with your doctor before visiting.

Bathers you feel comfortable in. That’s it.

Two towels, one for the sauna, one for drying off, plus a water bottle. We provide complimentary filtered still or sparkling water, but it’s always good to arrive hydrated.

We gently encourage guests to leave phones in the pigeonholes and step away from screens for the session. Si is one of the few places where disconnecting feels completely natural, we’d love for you to experience that.
